The 2011 nanoUtah Conference & Exhibition comes in a new format, to accelerate interactions and opportunities between science, engineering and commercial partners. We want to facilitate future academic and technological excellence, societal impact and economic growth.

NanoUtah 2011 partners and is coordinated with Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery Symposium 2011 (nanoDDS) to allow cross pollination of two closely related and interdependent fields. Participants in nanoUtah will get discounted registration to nanoDDS.

With the addition of a professional exhibition, we are adding a new and attractive platform for vendors, commercial and public technology partners and startups to find customers, gauge technological and application developments and needs, interact with technology, service and IP providers and partners and recruit talent. Exhibitors will benefit from professional support services, marketing and visitor recruiting. They can opt to give short platform presentations, invite conference participants, engage in or propose workshops and mini-symposia that benefit the exchange of knowledge and building of partnerships between science, engineering and industry.

NanoUtah builds on the rich tradition of past events. Anchored by presentations from international and local leaders in nanoscience and nanotechnology, the conference fosters collaborations and the exchange of knowledge among scientists, engineers, clinicians, industry leaders, and students.

Our venue is the beautiful Hilton City Center Hotel, located in culturally rich downtown Salt Lake City, 15 min from the airport, 15-30 minutes from outdoor resorts and facilities and within only a few hours from many of the major national parks.

We seek your involvement in any of the following areas:

  • WORKSHOPS AND MINI SYMPOSIA: Panelists from local nanotechnology businesses will discuss ways to successfully patent your technology and capitalize your ideas. Learn about education and workforce training programs available in Utah to prepare for a career in nanotechnology.
  • RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS: Utah researchers, students, and members of the business sector will present 15-minute overviews of their unique capabilities and the problems they face that require nanoscience and engineering solutions, with the potential of facilitating collaboration opportunities for further research, partnered development, and potential commercialization.
  • POSTER SESSION: Presenters, researchers, and students are invited to prepare posters to facilitate face-to-face interactions on recent strides in nanotechnology. Students are especially encouraged to prepare posters on their research to enter our successful student poster competition.
  • EXHIBITION BOOTHS: Businesses and research centers are invited to exhibit their unique products and facilities and recruit future employees.
  • SPONSORSHIP: If you are interested in participating as a sponsor, please refer to the sponsor tab above or contact Rajiv Kulkarni (rajiv@tco.utah.edu).
